This study examined the nexus of BSC manager's financial intelligence and survival of 13 manufacturing firms in Nigeria after the COVID-19 event. The aim of the paper is to justify the interrelationship of the manager of an organization financial intelligence within balanced scorecard framework and the firm sustainability in terms of returns on investment and liquidity management. To achieve this, the study adopted the ex-post facto research design and draws the manager’s intelligence data from the selected firm’s balanced scorecard outcomes as proxy for MFI. On the other hand, the firm survival performance is proxied with liquidity ratio and return on investment which is derived from the companies’ annual report of 2022. The data were analyzed using correlation test and simple linear regression. The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between managers’ financial intelligence and the survival of manufacturing firms. Hence, we recommend that managers should be train and be retained to have all necessary corporate financial skills to effectively and efficiently pilot the affairs of the organization with the usage of BSC.
